Finally! Tomorrow is the big day! Out on the picnic getaway I have  been anticipating for quite sometime now. Cold sandwiches can be assembled the night before and they pack up perfectly. Therefore, I do have many miles to go before I sleep. So, I prepare myself an Anassa mint tea. Mint and mint alone will help me figure out the picnic basket vision of my dreams. Here’s my list:

1. Brew the fragrant, invigorating Anassa mint tea which I will leave to cool down and then enjoy with delicious cold sandwiches in the afternoon under the shade of the trees.

Well, this pretty much signifies the end of my list. My morning will be a breeze.

Did you know that Anassa herbs are equally delightful, both hot and cold? Do tell! Don’t you sometimes prefer the cool, vibrant nature of an iced herbal tea? A light, yet dynamic and healing one? A herbal tea that exudes zingy aromas to the taste and offers this feeling of refreshing stimulation that lingers on and on? A Minty one?

Besides being so very flavourful, mint exhibits an array of many beneficial medicinal and healing properties. The Greeks considered mint refreshing for the mind and helpful in headaches; local herbal lore still considers it a traditional herbal remedy for relieving headaches. The Romans used it as a culinary herb and also to scent their bath water, while the Arabs believed it to be a potent aphrodisiac. Ancient Greek physicians Hippocrates and Galen used mint against indigestion, nervous disorders,  nausea, insomnia, gastritis, coughs, colds, sore throats and as an antispasmodic. They did know it all about mint. Since then.

Oops, there, I started preaching again. Well, as far as mint is concerned, no one can stop me: Mint, I’m, your fan.

The party sets off for the picnic. Now I’m in a hurry to fasten the straps of my picnic hamper and, as usual, to strive to catch up with the rest. The ride is wonderful. On the way, they would all rather have a cup of mint to quench their thirst. Who can blame them? I have mentioned how very cooling and thirst-quenching mint is, haven’t I?

Once we have reached our destination and it is time to spread out our goodies, we discover that something is missing from our picnic menu and it is mint of course because we've had it all on our way here.

But I have made provisions for that as well. I so cherish my picnic hamper: a mini camping stove, my Anassa mint package and plenty of mugs. A word of warning though: make sure you have enough mugs, because delightful, invigorating mint smells heavenly, and the aroma wafts hither and thither and our neighbours look interested. "There’s plenty to go round”, I holler. This is the best way to make new friends.

Have I mentioned how popular I have become lately with these Anassa herbs? Single ones, keep that in mind! No worries, it works with both single and already committed ones.

Now, a box of chocolates may be appreciated for a while, but if you really want your sweetheart to swoon, fill a basket to the brim with all your favourite Anassa herbs. Valentine's Day is looming, fast approaching, draws nearer and nearer, coming up just around the corner. What’s your plan?
